I wanted to do something special this Christmas time. So I was thinking of singing that song by Rebecca St James at a Christmas Tea my church is having…. It’s called “A Cradle Prayer”. But I’ve never sung in front of anyone before – not even my own mother. Pray I go through with it…

Many ask this question, as they are not familiar with the tanning process of an animal skin/pelt, or even taxidermy in general. So I’m going to try to explain it. PLEASE let me know if you have any questions! I’m more than happy to answer them for you 
Well let’s say you went hunting with your dad and you got a fox to bring home with you. What do you do with it? Well you could throw it in the freezer for now. Skin it out later, scrape it, clean it. Now what? Ready for your mother to wear to the theater? Heck no. Not unless it’s april fools and even then, the smell wouldn’t be very welcoming for other people. The raw skin needs to be tanned. By tanned, I mean “preserved”. There are places that you can take/send your raw skin to get tanned or you could learn to do it yourself (although home-tanning can be risky and quite costly). Tanning a skin yourself should not be attempted for the first time on anything you’re going to regret making a mistake on and losing. Always use a skin that can easily be replaced for your first try tanning! If not, you may regret it.
So back to what “tanning” means. Say you had a cube of ice. If you put the cube outside or even sitting out in the kitchen, it will melt, right? But if you keep it in the freezer, it will stay preserved. Kind of the same with tanning. The skin needs to be kept in a freezer until it can be tanned. Once the skin has been completely tanned right, it can go wherever you want it. Inside, outside, wherever. However – leaving the skin in the heat/sun where dirt and rain to get to it can be dangerous for the skin. It could lose some of the brightness of the coat, making it seem not as natural as it would if it were a live animal. It can also damage the leather, I believe. Please note, I’m no pro. I’ve only been home-tanning for a little while but I’m giving you what information I know. I’m sorry for any mistakes I may have made.

I don’t know what to write about today… I’m going to church tonight and I might scare some of the boys with the chipmunk. Girls like them, boys run away. I’m confused.

Taxidermy! Yay! I got the eyes for my fox in the mail today! I love them. they’re so pretty. Here is a sad picture (lol) and the eyes still need MAJOR adjusting!
(NOTE THE PHOTO BELOW may be disturbing to you. If you are not comfortable with needles, don’t look but PLEASE NOTE this animal is NOT alive! It is simply a skin stuffed with soft stuffing!! The eyes are made of glass)

Um… Oh! I started writing again! I dunno if you knew that I write books and stuff but yeah. Writers block is GONE! W00t! But I’m afraid I can’t post my stories here. Sorreh ):

Ah, okay, post your favorite bible verse! xD yeah that’s right. Comment with your favorite bible verse OR a verse that has inspired you/helped you in the past! The above wasn’t really my favorite. I honestly don’t know what my favorite verse is. Hm… I find this verse quite inspiring for me personally: “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” -Proverbs 3:5.

This is my worst falt: laziness. Gosh, I want to beat myself. Sorry for not posting in a while!
I actually have something more interesting than a picture thought this time (yay haha).
Here is what I have been so busy with!
Yep, I’ve been tanning and stuffing animal skins! buahahahahaha no really it is fun and these animals were not treated cruely or killed inhumanely. It is a very fun hobby and I do not believe that taxidermy is wrong that is my opinion.
So I’ve also come up with a fursona for myself. Here she is:

Anyway, I’m also working on my future online shop. I’ll be selling homemade hats, plushies, bookmarks, bags, etc. etc. there, as well as anything else kawaii I can think of… pretty much EVERYTHING will be anime so be prepared. I’ve got a few designs for hats on my other computer but I haven’t bought the felt/fleece for making them yet. Hoping to asap.
I think that’s about it… Actually, there are a couple more things.
My family and I will be joining the most amazing church in the world. We’re really excited, but I am struggling with the “give a testimoy up front” thing in front of all those people haha.What do I say!!
I’m also going to teach a class in about a month or two either on sewing/hats/plushies or taxidermy. I’m hoping to be able to teach on taxidermy but we’ll have to see. I’m expecting a raccoon skin that I will mount to show if I end up doing it wish me luck!
